Mentha pulegium
This very hardy member of the mint family is not nearly as invasive, with its slow spreading habit. Famous for its highest essential oil content. Native to the Mediterranean, the leaves are tiny ovals of light green supporting 1 foot tall flower spikes of small purple ball flowers. Loved by the bees.
